Honey Massage

Honey massage activates circulation, cleanses the skin, and stimulates the nervous system. Honey also contains skin-protecting and nurturing enzymes, antioxidants, and compounds that support muscle recovery. It helps remove dead skin cells while moisturizing and soothing the skin.

In a honey massage, the muscles are first warmed up with light massage, and locally produced pure honey is applied to the treatment area. The honey is then gently tapped onto the skin, effectively boosting surface circulation and metabolic waste removal. The effect of the honey is enhanced with a warm compress, after which the area is massaged again with oil. The result is clear, soft skin and deeply relaxed muscles and mind.

Honey massage can be done on the back or the backs of the thighs.

Honey – Nature’s Wonder Ingredient

The antibacterial and therapeutic effects of honey have been known for a long time. Internally, honey can be used to ease coughing and respiratory infections, while externally it nurtures, moisturizes, and heals the skin in many ways.

Studies show that honey contains defensin-1, a protein added by bees that gives honey its antibacterial properties. Honey’s low pH, gluconic acid, volatile compounds, and flavonoids also inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi. Honey activates the body’s own enzymes, and its vitamins and minerals, such as zinc and vitamin C, support wound healing.

Before booking, please check the general contraindications for massage. In honey massage, an additional contraindication is honey allergy. Very hairy areas cannot be treated with honey, as it sticks to the hair and may cause pain.
