Three-Person Open Canoe
Book a self-service rental for a three-person canoe.
The rental includes an adjustable paddle for each paddler and life vests for a two-hour period. Equipment can be picked up from the self-service storage and must be returned by the end of the rental period. Life vests are suitable for users weighing 40–130 kg. The canoe's total weight capacity is 300 kg, and the canoe itself weighs approximately 50 kg.
Safety and paddling instructions can be found at the bottom of the product page and on-site in the equipment storage area. We strongly recommend reviewing the safety instructions carefully before heading out on the water. A guide may be present at the site according to separate announcements.
NOTE! Self-service rentals must be paid in advance. If you choose “Open order/Pay on-site” at checkout, the rental will not be registered in the system. If you wish to pay on-site, you can do so when a guide is present at the rental point. On-site payment is possible by card or cash, depending on availability.
Rental Instructions
How does self-service rental work?
Rent and pay for your equipment on this page before your booking starts.
Before your rental begins, you will receive a code via email. This code opens the smart key box located at the storage entrance. The key inside opens the storage door.
If there are multiple renters at the same time, please use your own personal code to unlock the door to ensure the system logs each rental correctly.
After opening the storage, return the key to the smart box and ensure the lid is properly closed and locked.
Collect your rented equipment and included accessories (paddles, life vests, bailer).
When leaving the storage, make sure the door is securely locked. Do not allow others into the storage!
Check the condition of the equipment before leaving. If anything is broken or missing, call us immediately and we’ll do our best to help.
Return all rented equipment, including life vests and paddles, by the end of your rental period.
Note: The next renter’s booking may start immediately after yours, so all items must be returned on time and in good condition.
If you wish to extend your rental, call us to check if an extension is possible or check the online store to make a new booking to follow your current one.
Estimate Your Rental Time
Average paddling speed is 3–6 km/h depending on wind conditions and the number/experience of paddlers.
Account for snack breaks and shore landings. Also allow time at the beginning for taking out and preparing the canoe, and for cleaning it before returning.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
READ CAREFULLY BEFORE GOING ON THE WATER!
Most accidents occur when launching or landing due to slipping on wet rocks or losing balance when entering the canoe or board.
Move carefully and keep your weight centered on the equipment to avoid tipping.
Swimming skills are mandatory! The renter confirms all users are capable swimmers.
Plan your route based on your or your group’s experience level. Be realistic with distance, duration, and conditions. Identify suitable landing spots and emergency exits in case of sudden weather changes.
Route planning tools (e.g., terrain and rocks): MAP SERVICE
Always wear a life vest. Mandatory for all users.
Check equipment condition: Ensure everything is intact and includes necessary safety items (bailer for canoe, leash for SUP, properly fitted vest). Report any issues immediately.
Maximum of three paddlers per canoe. Total weight limit: 300 kg.
Check the weather forecast before heading out. Avoid paddling in thunderstorms, high winds, or fog.
Beginners should not paddle in wind over 6 m/s.
Even experienced paddlers should plan routes to stay near sheltered shores.
Monitor weather during your trip and land or adjust your route if needed.
Check marine forecast and wind conditions: FINNISH METEOROLOGICAL INSTITUTE
In cold water, wear a drysuit or paddle near shore.
If water temperature is under 15°C, plan routes close to shore. Wear wool or merino wool—avoid cotton.

Inform someone of your route and schedule. Let them know when and where you’re going and when you’ll return.
Take a phone in a waterproof pouch. In emergencies, call for help. It’s recommended to have the 112 app installed.
Yield to boats. Do not paddle along main boat routes. If crossing is necessary, do so at the narrowest visible section.
